She attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale majoring in Advertising and Illustration.  Her controlled style of art dates way back to her coloring book days; even then she carefully tried to color the pictures as realistically as possible.

Tracy paints with fluid acrylics on panel and canvas.  She uses her own adapted technique of lightly layering paint in thin layers, which gives her paintings a soft blended look.  Her paintings can have twenty or more layers of paint on them but still look soft and smooth.

She is intrigued with everyday objects and is compelled to make them visually interesting and will focus in and study each to find every little sparkle of highlight and color reflection.  This is why she includes elements in her paintings that are reflective, have texture or are transparent such as glassware, metal, and cloth.
She selects subjects for her paintings that remind her of home, often vintage, the hope is to give others a sense of home, peace, joy or nostalgia but with a contemporary spin.

Tracy has taught and demonstrated her style at a variety of venues and contributed to publications and Art Education Resource materials.  Her artwork has been included in many juried exhibitions, has won awards, and is part of private and corporate collections.

Tracy is a full time artist and works at her in-home studio in East Hampstead, New Hampshire
